About us
Weather made simple, for everyone in America.
Weather Reports Update started with a simple frustration: most weather sites are cluttered with autoplaying video, aggressive ads, and pop-ups that get in the way of the one thing you came for — the forecast. We wanted something calmer, faster, and easier to read.
Our mission
Give every person in the United States — families, drivers, travelers, students, and outdoor enthusiasts — trustworthy, easy-to-understand weather information. Clear forecasts, honest uncertainty, no clickbait.
Where our data comes from
Our forecast data is provided by Open-Meteo, an open-source weather API that aggregates model output from national weather services — including NOAA's Global Forecast System (GFS) and the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF).
Editorial standards
Every explanatory article on this site is written in plain English, grounded in publicly documented meteorology, and updated when the underlying science or guidance changes.
A note on accuracy
No forecast is perfect. Weather models improve every year, but the atmosphere is chaotic. For life-safety decisions, always consult your local National Weather Service office.
Who runs this site
Weather Reports Update is an independently operated website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by NOAA or the US National Weather Service. The site is free to use, and you can reach us any time through our contact page.
